Cobblestone Creek Live-edge River Tables

"I still recall my initial encounter with a river table. I was taken aback by its beauty, but my admiration was short-lived as I noticed the hairpin legs supporting it. I found it incongruous to invest so much effort into creating a beautiful top, only to settle for less-than-satisfactory legs.

One day, while browsing at my favorite woodworking store, I came across a Patagonia Rosewood slab that immediately caught my attention. This moment marked my realization that I desired to create my own river table, one that would be a complete work of art and free of unsightly hairpin legs. I firmly believed that if I was dedicating time and effort to this project, it was only right to give it my all."

Cobblestone Creek River Tables

The Project

I have named my series of River tables as "Cobblestone Creek" due to the cobblestone formations along the river banks. My objective was to create a distinctive and meaningful piece, distinct from the commonly available River Tables online. I aimed to preserve the natural beauty of the wood while also ensuring the river was transparent enough to let light shine through, yet still maintain its opaqueness to create the desired ambiance in the room.

Presented on this page are two of the "Cobblestone Creek" projects, titled "The Promise" and "Treasure Key

The Promise
